Signing up as a Team

To ensure your team members are all accepted, after registration:

• Navigate to the teams page
• Create a new team
• Invite your team members using the email invite feature
• Your team members must accept the invite and fill out profile info before the team can be considered

Note, if your team members have signed up to an AI Tinkerers event before, make sure to use the same email.

Theme

Is it 2023 again? We’re revisiting knowledge and retrieval, but this time, with bigger context windows, better accuracy, faster models, and far stronger tooling and databases. Let’s see what new, powerful experiences we can build. The main prize track will focus on projects in these areas:

• Agentic retrieval
• Vector search
• Context management
• Web search
• Voice agents

What to expect

Doors open at 10:00am on Sunday. IDs will be checked by security at the door.

The kickoff talk starts at 10:30am sharp with team formation taking place immediately after. The rest of the day will consist of focussed building fuelled by snacks, energy drinks, coffee, la croix, lunch and dinner. Vegan, vegetarian, and health-conscious options available.

Building ends at 7pm followed by finalist presentations.

We’ll wrap up by 9pm.

Prizes

The total prize pool currently sits at £5k. We will release further info on the hackathon discord, which is available to all accepted applicants.

Rules & Submission Criteria

• 1st, 2nd and 3rd place main track prizes will be determined by our expert panel of judges
• Additional prizes may be offered by the hackathon partners, eg “best use of [technology]”
• Full terms of awards and prizes to be shared during the kickoff
• All code must be written on the day
• Teams must consist of 4 or fewer attendees

​Selection & Format

​Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Teams of up to 4 are welcome; there will be time for solo builders to form teams on site. Attendance of the kickoff session and demoing in-person is mandatory for all accepted participants. Applicants who turn up to the event, but do not participate in a meaningful may be banned from future AI Tinkerers London events - spaces are for builders only.
