Project Concept

The project aims to solve hiring challenges from the workers’ perspective. There are many tools for job searching, but none that truly help candidates match their skills and experience with the right job opportunities. We want to create a platform focused on job seekers, allowing them to apply only to positions that genuinely fit their profile, increasing their chances of being hired instead of applying to thousands of unrelated openings.

I am Francisco Macaya, an AI Specialist and Data Scientist with a strong background in industrial engineering and a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence. I am passionate about bridging advanced machine learning techniques with real-world business challenges, having led high-pressure teams in the financial and retail industries. Beyond technical work, I am building my personal brand, FocoAnalytics, where I share insights on applied AI, data science, and decision-making. My goal is to create meaningful impact through AI solutions that are scalable, ethical, and accessible.

My main areas of interest are: 1. Computer Vision – applying image recognition and deep learning to real-world problems. 2. Large Language Models (LLMs) – exploring retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation metrics, and multi-agent systems. 3. Cloud AI & Scalable Systems – building and deploying AI pipelines that can handle real-world business challenges at scale.

Currently, I am tutoring students in the Data Science Master’s program at the University of Montevideo, while also pursuing an MSc in Computer Science at Birkbeck, University of London. In addition, I run a personal blog on AI and Machine Learning, where I share insights, projects, and reflections on these topics
