Original passion was programming language design & theory (trying to combine dependent types with Rust-style mutability https://charlielidbury.com/ochre). Joined the AI startup circus with https://www.symbolica.ai/ where I am making an Agent framework for well-typed code-first agents (going to use a pre-release version of the library for this competition). Interested in getting to know everyone's workflows and meeting people who have productionised AI agents, because I want to get good at that myself. Very interested in the intersection between agents and strong but correct guardrails. We need to improve the scaffolding we use!
